Roller Derby!

This afternoon me & Ad went to watch the lovely Claire play roller derby - it was freaking AWESOME. It's a contact sport on wheels with lots of girls in fishnets! The basic idea is to lap a pack of people on skates without getting shoved out the way & earning points. It's proper fast & exciting - I was on the edge of my seat frankly. There are like a million referees as well, all waving their arms around in very specific ways, not to mention some very inventive blocking techniques!

So I picked up some details at the end & on Wednesday I'm going to my first Roller Derby practice - mostly just to try & not fall over I think - I'm not the worlds best skater. I can feel an obsession starting...
