Space Hoppers

Friday was a sort of non-skating skate meet. Twas very fun, we ate biscuits & read the scary scary contract that the RCRG have to sign, it was all very serious but no doubt absolutely necessary ;) The evening concluded with a session of space hopper volleyball in a squash court which was a first for me & very enjoyable. Even though I got hit in the face. I also got to see our logo which is AWESOME & I simply cannot wait to have is displayed beautifully across my boobs.

Yesterday I went to the afternoon skate & had the floor to myself for a whole 10 mins, it was sweet! Although I have resolved to bring either headphones or my own CD next time as the music they play there is genuinely starting to send me slowly insane. I can feel myself regressing back to teenagerhood as I type! I practised turning round - something which for some reason is taking me waaaaaaay longer to master than anything I've tried so far. I can do the turny bit, but I seem to turn way too fast & end up careering off across the centre of the track or just falling over. I'm slowly building up the speed though I'll bloody get there if it kills me! If I don't go off in to a spin I accidentally put my toe stops down, but that has kind of worked to my advantage as I learnt to do the funky-backwards-toe-stop-stop that all the cool girls can do. Woop!

After skating I sat around on the grass with Mooks for ages & met her boys who are are very sweet. Then I went home for a serious session of bunting making for the neighbours day celebration today. Sadly, however, it's totally raining this morning gah!
