oo-er!
We spent the whole morning just trying to pair things up, while Neil, Rich & Aiden sorted out wheels & broken stuff. By 2pm we'd actually moved on to sorting out the pairs & cleaning things & I have never laced so much footwear in one day. Not even when I worked in the stockroom at Clarks! After a quick break for 99p pizzas & a rules test (:D) it was back to the slog. Around 6ish we started putting all the things back in the skste room, which took us an hour & a half! By the time we finished my skin was coated in a thick layer of dust & I was properly wheezing. This morning when I woke up the dust had caused my normally pretty flat hair to spontaneously form an afro!
So now they way is paved for us to have a spangly new permanent track put down for us. Apparently we'll be the first team in Britain to have a purpose built track but I can't remember who told me it.... Whatever, it's going to be SUPER AWESOME. I genuinely cannot wait to have some 10' marks down. Eeeeeeep!
Aaaanyway. We FINALLY managed to get on the track & skate, & FINALLY managed to get tested on our minimum skills wooo! Only the written test to go & I can freaking scrimmage in Leeds on Sunday. Can't. Freaking. Wait. SO massive thanks to Joe, Claire & Ash for making it happen ;)
After everyone buggered off home me, Ash, Scary & Ad stayed behind & put in a little sneaky blocking practice. Although no one was allowed to hit Ash because of her knee so it was more falling practice but there you go! Finally left the Arcadia at 10.30pm. I love Arcadia days :)
